David Price was scratched from tonight’s start against the Yankees with recurring numbness and tests revealed that he was dealing with a mild case of carpal tunnel syndrome. Manager Alex Cora called this the the “best-case scenario”. Price will have a bullpen session tomorrow and the team will decide how to proceed with the situation afterwards.
The New York Mets batted out of order Wednesday in a game against the Cincinnati Reds. It came in the first inning when they had a little rally going and ended up losing the game 2-1. This is the first time this has happened since the Milwaukee Brewers did it against the Washington Nationals on July 4th, 2016.
