U of Illinois Alumnus Kevin Anderson to Face Novak Djokovic for the Final

After over five hours across two days of tennis, Novak Djokovic defeated Rafael Nadal in five sets to advance to the Wimbledon Men’s Single Final against South African and University of Illinois alumnus Kevin Anderson.

Djokovic and Nadal played three sets on Friday, with Djokovic winning the first and third sets, but they had to postpone the remainder of the match for Saturday.  Nadal won the fourth set 6-3, however, Djokovic won the final set 10-8.

Djokovic will have to turn around and play for the grand prize less than 24 hours later against Anderson.
