England lost 2-1 to Croatia in the World Cup’s semi-final matchup on Wednesday in Russia.
This is big news, as the World Cup Final would be on Sunday, the same day as the Men’s Wimbledon Final. The start times of the two events would be only two hours apart (9 a.m. EST start for Wimbledon, 11 a.m. EST start for World Cup Final). Now that England has been eliminated from the World Cup, more of the local crowd is expected to try and grab tickets for the Men’s Final at Wimbledon.
An older Daily Mail article reported that the cost of tickets for this year’s Men’s Final at Wimbledon would cost at least 2667 pounds (about 3,500 USD). According to Sporting Agenda, the prices are now at 3850 pounds.
On StubHub, prices were as expensive as 30,000 pounds, or 39,611.79 USD (good luck selling those, buddy!).
England will face Belgium for the third-place match on Saturday. Croatia will face France for the World Cup championship on Sunday.
