Americans Serena Williams and John Isner have advanced to the semi-finals of Wimbledon.
25th-Williams defeated Camila Giorgi in three sets after dropping set one on Tuesday. Williams regrouped, winning the next two sets 6-3 and 6-4.
Ninth-ranked Isner defeated Canadian Milos Raonic earlier today in four sets. Isner dropped a tough tiebreaker in the first set, but he was able to rally, winning the next three sets 7-6, 6-4, and 6-3 respectively.
Williams will play against 13th-ranked Julia Gorges of Germany this Thursday on Center Court. Isner will face South African Kevin Anderson on Friday. Anderson, who is the eighth-ranked man in the world, upset top-ranked Roger Federer in five sets earlier today.
