The Dallas Stars signed veteran defenseman Roman Polak to a one year deal worth $1.3 million.
Polak will enter the 2018-19 campaign just 12 games shy of 700 played for his NHL career. With this, Dallas adds experience and leadership to the blue line.
Polak last played in Toronto but has also played in St. Louis and San Jose.
If the Stars can land Erik Karlsson in a trade, the defense would look very solid for the upcoming year, as the Stars look to get back into the playoffs for the first time since the 2015-16 campaign, where they won the Central Division, but lost in the second round.
