DeAngelo Hall, an NFL veteran defensive back has announced his retirement. A three-time Pro Bowler, the 14-year vet is still unsure of what he wants to do going forward but he is still focused on getting into the Hall of Fame. Hall said of his career, “I had a vision of a gold jacket. The injuries the last couple years have been very hard on me, so that’s out of the question. Who’s to say I can’t get in there another way. That’s my focus. I still want a gold jacket, whether I get one as an exec, a coach. I’m going to get me a damn gold jacket. Believe that.”
As Hall said, he started off his career as one of the best in the league throughout the 2000s, but after moving to the safety position to prolong his career, he never looked the same as injuries bogged him down. Hall finished with 43 career interceptions (23 with the Redskins).
