Rodney Hood to Apologize to Team

The Athletic first reported that Rodney Hood refused to check into the game last night in the Cavaliers’ route of the Toronto Raptors. Hood, who started the season looking like the Utah Jazz’s go-to guy, started to look more and more replaceable as Donovan Mitchell continued to improve. He was then traded to the Cavaliers mid-season and while he finished the season averaging¬†10.8 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 21 regular-season games for the Cavaliers, he lost his starting job in the playoffs after just 1 game and has seen his role and numbers diminish ever since. Hood has met with GM Koby Altman to apologize and plans on apologizing to his teammates and coaches when they all get back together next.
