James Borrego Hired as Hornet’s New Head Coach

The Charlotte Hornets are in the midst of finalizing a deal with former San Antonio Spurs Assistant Coach, James Borrego. Borrego has long been considered as one of the top assistant coaches in the league and his resume includes two stints on Greg Popovich’s staff, and stops in New Orleans and Orlando. Borrego turned down a head coaching job at the University of New Mexico last year to continue to pursue an NBA head coaching job.
