Gisele Bundchen, Tom Brady’s wife, made headlines yesterday when she told made a comment about her husband having a concussion last year that was unreported. When asked about the statement, New Orleans Saints quarterback, Drew Brees passed over the question but did say that he most likely would not even tell his own wife if he was bell rung in a game in fear of making her worry.
Gray is what Brees called the whole idea of self-reporting concussions. He said that players are either too competitive to take themselves out of a game, or simply do not know if they have suffered a concussion.
While on the “Dan Patrick Show”, Brees told a story of how he did not immediately take himself out of a game in which he suffered his only documented concussion. He talked about how he knew that he had a concussion but kept trying to play and he did so until his coach finally pulled the trigger and pulled him out of the game.
