For the past few months, the only names linked to Tony Romo and where he will realistically end up has been the Houston Texans and the Denver Broncos. Since then, John Elway has been on record, saying that he is happy with Trevor Siemian so they seem to have backed out of that conversation, leaving just the Houston Texans as the only possible option. Well, the Cowboys never actually released Tony Romo like they were thought to do and they are still holding on to him in hopes of a trade. And while Houston paid what now seems like 30-million dollars too much for Brock Osweiler, they have been in no hurry to make a run for America’s most famous backup quarterback. Fox has been thinking about trying to add Tony Romo to replace John Lynch as an analyst and reports now point to CBS being interested in adding Romo to their team.
Retirement seems to be an option for Romo so there is a possibility but with his high competitiveness and wishes to play, it will be interesting to see how much of a chance Fox and CBS actually has at getting Romo.
