Many thought that Adrian Peterson would be signed by now. He is one of the best running backs of all time and while he has been injured and missed some games recently, it seems like he has a bit more to offer to teams. But he is still unsigned and many are blaming his high asking price for that. A source from a team interested in a running back said that he believes Peterson wanted about $8 million in the first year of his contract. That is a pretty steep price for a veteran running back who is on his decline in a league that does not value running backs the way it once used to.
A few teams, including the Packers are reportedly interested but the fact that they have not met with him yet should tell you how teams are looking at him, and his value right now. He should still get a job at some point but a team will have to pay more than they would like to or Peterson may have to lower his asking price.
